Update in Taji: Close Up Shots as the Killings begin again today…
The sound of thrashing Striped dolphins can be heard throughout the cove.
As you may know or remember me saying whenever about this annual dolphin hunt which starts in September every year, is that 2 or 3 years ago, we/no one was allowed near this area. The city officials cut the public off from being able to see how they deal and what they do to steal these mammals. Because that is what they are doing here. They are going into the oceans to steal mammals from their own environment. Just so you weak people, can see flipper balance a goddam ball on its nose (so to speak).
Therefore, getting shots like this one today of what are these gross killers hauling in their catch from the blood red waters of the cove, was only done from a far and these amazing “COVE GUARDIANS” are the ones that have uncovered this was happening in the last few years. I remember that I contacted the people that did that documentary film (The Cove“) the day I saw it and even then, they could never get close to the hunt and to the captivity process. Things have since kicked into gear in the last two years and so the pictures of some of the Dolphins that I placed up here the other day, today and every day, are now dead in this boat. The so called lucky ones that fit that so called “flipper” mode are on the other side of the Cove area now housed in those squared cages if you will.
But honestly, until you normal people speak up by MERELY not going to these Aquarians that do this for money, and to the hotels that allow you to swim with the dolphins (because you know that you can do that on your own in the ocean naturally if you made any effort but most people fat, lazy and don’t get it….so they think if they swim with dolphins in some pool,…Honestly…I am not even sure what anyone gets out of that but whatever….), let alone to the Sea Worlds that do this to make money, it aint gonna stop.
You have to teach your kids and actually, your kids will be the one teaching the adults nowadays that watching whales and Dolphins in this way is just not fun. Maybe if it was you standing on top of the dolphins head so you can be lunged whatever feet into the air so you can dive back into pool then maybe its gets fun….but dude…jump of some bluff or use some diving board or Ill bet some entrepreneur even has a device to sell you that would give anyone that same sensation of being lunged into the air and back into a pool of water. Or, I should say watching some trainer be lunged into the air. Or, better yet, go surfing if you love the oceans. Or go water boarding or wind sailing or kayaking or us those the motorized things that you stand on because trust me in saying that you will run into pods of Dolphins so many times naturally and on your own. Its NOT hard to swim with the Dolphins in its natural environment. It is NOT hard to get a boat excursion to get yourselves out into some sea, to get close to these mammals again, in its natural environment.
I have to address all of this now that I am going off on this rant but I canNOT figure out why anyone wants to deal in ways where they do this at some hotel or in some resort. It is very odd considering you can deal on your own if you make a real effort. If not, I guess you are weak that you have to cop out by being in some lounge in some pool to swim with a dolphin. Or, to watch it make a basket after balancing the ball on its nose just before he gets to that hoop.
It just does not sound fun. I have never seen any of these attractions and if I were ever at a resort that allowed people to swim with Dolphins, I did not know about it. I can safely say my parents never took us to Sea World or to Aquariums and nor did we ever stay at a resort that wanted us to swim with mammals. I remember some reality show like Paris and Nicole maybe or the one with snooky and J Wow went to some tropical place where they did it but that is really all I have seen of it. And, if they had fun doing it in that episode, it was fleeting fun. They were doing what they normally did anyway later that day (drinking prolly….lol….) and its not like that stuck with them so much that they had this great revelation or something. It was fun I guess, for like 3 minutes.
It looks boring to me let alone not fun. I don’t get it. I am not kidding. I really don’t get it. And, even the so called fun is for no time at all in the broad scheme of life. I just do NOT think that iddy bitty of fun for humans should outweigh what we see here gets done every year in Taji,.
Oh and also…who the hell eats dolphins and I thought that was illegal to kill them for food consumption?!? Is this a Japanese thing? It looks like it would be a tough meat to eat and if they eat it raw, man, that looks like it would be tougher meat to eat. Maybe they make dolphin fin sip although I think that is just done with sharks (BTW, DE banned any use of Shark Fins in any way).
Regardless, is/are peoples fun worth this happening every year to Dolphins? Can’t we be less selfish as humans with brains because it is NOT much to ask considering the ONLY thing you are losing out on now, is that you won’t be seeing Dolphins balancing balls on their noses so to speak…Its kinda like Gun Safety because I get people have fun with guns but does that outweigh the 10K deaths we have every year because of the use of them?
Can we have les fun so we can keep mammals, animals and people alive?
Dissect this please because again, look into the broad scheme of everyone’s life. What are you truly missing out on if you never see flipper balance a fricking ball on its nose?
Maybe I just need to know why seeing that for someone’s jollies should outweigh what you see here every year. It is 100% selfish if you get off on watching Dolphins balance balls on their faces….Its actually quite odd behavior if you break it down. As far as being pushed in the water by Dolphins. Again, if that never happened in your life, would it really be that big of a deal? Trust me in saying that I have not done it ever (which U all know) and I never ever think about it. I have never dreamed about me swimming in some pool with a dolphin. And, I don’t care about seeing them play with beach balls. I am not missing out anything. My life is NOT empty because I missed out on seeing that in my life.
Seriously…think about it…Is this REALLY worth it?
